Eesh, you guys. I totally under-celebrated Nurse’s Week here at ThriveAP. My apologies. With my attention directed toward a big week for ThriveAP+, a house reno, and emergency department shifts, I dropped the ball. But, don’t worry – there are still a few hours left in the day to celebrate the occasion. Fortunately, many companies planned a far better Nurses Week 2016 throw down than us over here at ThriveAP and are offering free stuff to commemorate nurses.
Here’s where you can pick up some Nurses Week swag this afternoon.
Cinnabon
Mmmm…I can taste it now. That ooey, gooey, warm frosted treat that Cinnabon makes so well. If you’ve got a hankering for cinnamon rolls, Cinnabon is giving away a free Cinnabon Classic Roll to nurses through May 12th. The company has given away more than one million of it’s famous baked goods to nurses over the past several years.
Chick-fil-A
While the promotion is not a company-wide effort, select Chick-fil-A stores are giving away a free sandwich to nurses to honor Nurses Week. Don’t forget to bring your ID badge, you’ll likely need it to claim your meal. We’d also like to note, it’s totally worth spending a couple bucks of your own hard earned cash to purchase waffle fries to go with your sandwich. #CheatDay.
Dunkin Donuts
Could you use a steaming cup of Joe to go with that free Cinnabon? If so, stop by Dunkin Donuts on your commute home this evening for a free pick-me-up. Select Dunkin Donuts locations are handing out free coffee to nurses in honor of all that we do.
New York & Co
Nurses Week is totally an excuse to go shopping. And, you may need to invest in some new pants after eating all that Cinnabon. Retailer New York & Co is offering nurses a 30 percent discount on purchases of $50 or more. Show your ID in store or enter code ‘6223’ at checkout online to take advantage of the deal.
Starbucks
Okay, this deal isn’t technically held in celebration of Nurses Week, but Starbucks is offering half-priced Frappuccinos between 3pm and 5pm through May 15th. Celebrate yourself and your commitment to working hard in healthcare by treating yourself to a discounted whipped cream topped beverage.
Happy Nurses Week!
