Free Eats and Treats for National Nurses Week!
Happy National Nurses Week! Throughout the week of May 6th – 12th, companies are showing their appreciation for the profession with discounts, deals and freebies just for nurses. Since we at ThriveAP consider ourselves to be quite the foodies, we’ve found which restaurants and food chains are dishing out freebies and deals on tasty treats and eats.
For the entire week, Cinnabon is offering nurses their choice of a free Classic Cinnamon Roll, MiniBon, or a four-count of their newest treat, BonBites. Be sure to bring your medical ID badge!
Cinnabon also partners with The DAISY Foundation, whose mission is to recognize the exceptional work that nurses do for patients and families every day. The foundation has presented more than 2,500 nurses in over 200 medical facilities nationwide with The DAISY Award, which includes Cinnabon rolls and gift certificates for each recipient.
On Tuesday, May 9th, nurses (and teachers) will receive 50% off their entire purchase with the presentation of a valid nurse ID. PDQ (which stand for People Dedicated to Quality) serves fresh, never frozen, hand-breaded chicken tenders, sandwiches and salads, all made to order.
On May 11th, nurses wearing their scrubs, ID badge or other professional evidence may go into any participating location and receive an Espresso Buzz Bagel and Shmear on the house. The new item not only tastes great but is good for you too, packed with 13 grams of protein and 32 grams of caffeine (just the right amount of kick to get your through your shift!).
On Friday, May 12th, DAVIDsTEA is treating all nurses to a free Tea of the Day.
At any EVOS location from May 8th – 12th, nurses who present a professional ID with the purchase of a meal or salad will receive a second meal or salad free; the perfect opportunity to take your non-nurse friend to lunch!
Certain Chick-Fil-A locations across the country are honoring nurses throughout the week with freebies like your choice on signature chicken sandwiches or a free breakfast with the presentation of a valid nurse ID. Check with the Chick Fil A in your community for details on participation and offers.
Though not a deal exclusive only to nurses, customers who visit participating Starbucks stores between 3 pm – 6 pm from now until May 14th can enjoy half-off Frappuccino blended beverages of any flavor and any size.
Work in a hospital? Don’t forget to check with your cafeteria as many are showing their appreciation for its nurses with a free meal this week as well.
