Are you searching for a place to put down roots and grow within a community that treasures quality of life? Are you also a new nurse practitioner eager to grow in confidence and competence in the clinical setting while mastering your new career? Look no further, we might just have the place for you.
If you haven’t yet heard ofThriveAP+, you can think about the program like a residency for nurse practitioners and physician assistants. You match with a facility that is a supportive place to learn and kick off your career while also participating in a didactic curriculum to boost your clinical knowledge. You can learn more about the program here.
This month, we’re featuring several of the facilities participating in ThriveAP+. This week’s featured facility is located in the southwest corner of Missouri, nestled in the beautiful Ozark region of the state. The clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center that prides themselves on taking care of the community and making sure healthcare is affordable for each of the town’s residents. Preventive care is a staple at this facility as they maintain community health with physical fitness that features a personal trainer as well as group classes like Zumba. These perks show that the clinic values true primary care.
The NP/PA matched with this facility will see their own patient panel while having support from the medical director and physicians. The medical director takes collaboration very seriously and is committed to the success of NPs and PAs. He enjoys working with APPs and providing the coaching they need to get started in their careers. When highly complex patients present to the clinic, physicians take the situation and use it as a teaching opportunity. These patients will be scheduled with a physician, with the NP/PA continuing to stay in the loop with the patient’s care to learn from the experience – the perfect situation for a new grad.
Not only will being matched with our featured facility be an investment in your career development, you will also be investing in a higher quality of life. The location offers a place to live, work, play, and raise a family in a small town atmosphere, all with people who care.If you are interested in working in a supportive workplace and community that enjoys down home celebrations and festivals, has a triple A school system and a trail festival where they celebrate the beauty of the Ozark Mountains, apply to ThriveAP+ today.
